The Alliance for Just Solutions seeks to improve and coordinate the effectiveness of social justice work in Westchester County.  Through the formal structure of the YWCA and the United Way of Westchester and Putnam, the Alliance for Just Solutions will apply its leadership and administrative capabilities to support and move forward the work of both formal and informal groups.

The goals of the Alliance for Just Solutions are:

• To improve the coordination of social justice efforts in Westchester
• To increase the knowledge and availability of information and training regarding social justice initiatives in Westchester
• To initiate and improve collaboration among social justice activists
• To convene and strengthen leadership groups in the arena of social justice

By improving communication, the Alliance for Just Solutions strives to foster networks and coalition building among burgeoning organizations and community groups.  In bringing groups together around shared issues, the Alliance can promote the teamwork that is so vital in sustaining social justice work.  The Alliance will also serve as a means to share information, skills and other resources among groups, creating new ways to strengthen and support each other's work.  Leadership training and networking opportunities will be held to help accomplish the goals of the Alliance.

Our web site furthers the mission of information sharing and team building by providing a central space for member organizations to post events, exchange resource materials, and list the services they provide the community.
